I13DT - ExCeL-sior

Located on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. The low-income borough of Lambeth has been largely taken over by London's mutant population and is now known as Mutant Town.

The automotive show was being held at the ExCeL exhibition center. The ride down had been good, if a little cold because it was November. After finding a parking space and locking the bike down, the two made their way to the exhibition center. Allison had already gotten tickets, so they even managed to avoid the massive line that was waiting to get in. "So what do you want to see first?" She asked, flipping through the program.

"Nostalgia. Let's see how that repulsor-powered car Resilient was working on turned out."

"Works for me," she said, hunting down the place on the map. "That's not far from the Stark Industries mini-exhibit. I didn't know they were going to be here."

"Well, after the Resilient exhibit, we'll wander through the Stark one. Now taking bets on how many cardboard stand-ups of Tony will be in the room."

She looked at the room size and did some mental math. "I'm going to go with ten."

"I should know better than to bet with someone with prior experience. On the other hand, we didn't set terms, so you win absolutely nothing," she said, sticking her tongue out at Dee.

The car was there with all the attendant "under the hood" exhibits. "Okay, you'll have to explain this one to me," she said, tilting her head as she regarded some of the marketing jargon.

"Alright, the problem with electric cars is they've been basically running off of giant stacks of laptop batteries. Too much weight wasted on storage capacity. They've been improving it, but meanwhile Stark is running around with a weaponized battle suit, and his power source fits in that little divot on the chest plate."

"It's not the only Stark system in the thing. Stark's a bloody genius at miniaturization and weight minimization by now, because he had to focus all of his development on making things man-portable for so long. That means there's plenty of room for goodies in these."

"Mostly out of curiosity." She turned and was bumped hard by a guy in a suit walking out of the exhibit. "Hey, watch it," she scolded. The man just kept on walking and didn't even look back.
