I12DT: Shard - Meet Dave

[David Andros]

The penthouse elevator chimed and opened. The man in sunglasses inside stepped out, wheeling some luggage behind him. He let out a whistle as he looked around.

[Justin Halloway]

"I know, nice digs, right? Tony Stark, eat your heart out," Justin said from the minibar where he was mixing a drink up.

[David Andros]

"Very nice. A guy could get used to this," he said with a mild German-sounding accent.

[Justin Halloway]

"Well, I don't know how nice of me it is to hope we're needed enough here that we're a hit, but... well, this is the life." He poured the drink out, then held the shaker up in a silent 'want one?' gesture.

[David Andros]

"God yes I could use a drink."

Dave stowed his luggage out of the way of foot traffic and took a seat at the minibar.

[Justin Halloway]

"There's beer in the fridge, but if they're going to stock us like this... well, I say why not use it." He poured a gimlet out for Dave, then set the shaker down. "Justin. Justin Halloway."

[David Andros]

"David Andros, but everyone just calls me Dave."

[Chloe Grant]

Chloe came in from the balcony "Hello." she said "I"m Chloe."

[David Andros]

"And I'm Dave," he replied kindly, "Nice to meet you."

[Chloe Grant]

"Nice to meet you too." Chloe said "Its a lovely morning."

[David Andros]

"It certainly is," he said, sipping his drink.

"Anyone else lurking about?"

[Chloe Grant]

Just the three of us." Chloe said "Plenty of room, you can kip where you like."

[Justin Halloway]

"Trish might be around," he said. "Or she might be out. Just got in myself, so I'm not sure."

[David Andros]

Kip?

"So... is.... this when we talk abilities?" he asked with some anxiety.

[Chloe Grant]

"That might be helpful, yes." Chloe said "I can shapeshift into a galah, and also a deinonicus."

[David Andros]

"A bird and a dinosaur. That must be handy."

"I'm... umm..." he began, uncovering his softly glowing blue eyes, "Yeah, this thing happened and now I'm half energy creature... from another dimension..."

"Things like that apparently, you know... happen."

[Chloe Grant]

"That sounds very interesting." Chloe said "What can you do, now?"

[David Andros]

In a flash he is replaced by a white-eyed figure made of glittering azure light... still in an unburned sweater and slacks.

"I can fly for one," he said in undirected mind-speech with a smirk in his voice.

[Chloe Grant]

"That seems to be a common thread."

[David Andros]

He reverted to human form.

"I wonder if that is by chance or by design."

[Chloe Grant]

"I'm not certain." Chloe said, casting a quizzical look at Justin "Do you know anything?"
