Well, that's not creepy or anything. Gemma didn't slow her movement. "You said I was safe here. I've been out in the open for more than a week now. I'd think I'd like a roof over my head," she explained as she continued towards the Manor.

"I'll join you and Trev, heard about a secret hidden hangout while I was in high-school here. Bet there's all sorts of fun contraband in there. Jen, you can stay. If this is what you were looking for and have found it, I know I won't stand in your way. Just keep a scout with you, ok. Squirrel or rat?"

"You almost got one of us, but you messed up. I don't know who you are or what you're after, but you are not our friends and that is most definitely NOT Theresa." Vertie moved to stand with GemmaIggy and Trev. "And I swear if you "mock-up" Gar or Melissa...I'm tearing through these things."

"Simon Kipling."

"Altamira Vazquez"

"Vicky Valentine"

"Zoe Walker"

"Byrna Cooper"

"Juma Ngomo"

"Daniel Uriel"

The roll call was perhaps unexpected. As they recited their names, they all stood up individually before sitting back down, staring blankly ahead as they recited it, as if it were a familiar, long-practiced exercise.

"Fighting is bad," a chorus of voices echoed.

They started standing up.

The eyes continued to watch John, closely.

Having 30 heads swivel to follow you was rather disconcerting, but at least it had their eyes off of Gemma.

Jennifer, go to the Manor. Take the others, especially my fool husband. I'll hold them back if they try to follow. Gemma adjusted her stance and Trev would probably recognize GemmaIggy's 'belligerent' stance.

she still thinks I'm a putz after all these years...I could stay and help her... he thought to himself not especially quietly as he got pulled along by Jennifer.

As soon as Trev had been pulled far enough away, Gemma burst into flames again. The cracks in her rocky hide began to go from orange to white. The intensity of the heat began to scorch the grass. "Hey! I was talking to you! I still want to know what arsehole thought it was okay to do bad replicas of my friends." Her voice started to take on a strange dual tone as both Gemma and Ignata moved into sync. There's your distraction.

"Let's go!" Jennifer sends to the group and hurries off towards the side of the manor to cut around the corner and to the back entrance to where the cafeteria used to be.

The heads turned around to look at Gemma, giving the others the time they needed to dart free. At least, it SEEMED like that, but they couldn't shake the feeling they were still being watched.

Meanwhile, Gemma was DEFINITLEY being watched.

"Fighting is not OK."

"Fighting is not allowed."

"Troublemakers must be punished."

They rose as one.

"If fighting is not allowed, sit the bloody hell down and we won't have to fight. But you're showing your hand," she was talking to no one in particular. As the dual tonal quality of her voice continued it actually looked like she got slightly bigger. "I don't know all these people, but I do know for bloody sure that Theresa and Vickie would never lockstep like this. I also happen to know that some of these people are still alive and safe elsewhere."

A pair of rodents stayed with Gemma, four bright eyes watching the show, though wisely no where close. The rest of the scouts ran when Vertie did, darting for the "cafeteria" ahead of Jen and the others.
