Power: Avian physiology - Ryan's body is adapted for winged flight, granting him a strong, light form with hollow bones that gives him enhanced agility and mobility on the ground and allow aerial maneuverability via a 13’ wingspan protruding from his back.
Lightforce energy – Ryan’s metabolism allows him to channel energies that are the polar opposite of Darkforce energy. This energy allows him to disrupt energy fields, including bio-energy, effectively stunning people or shorting out machines. He is able to use this energy to transfer energy, either draining it from his surroundings or transferring it from himself. It also enhances the speed of his metabolism, allowing for heightened speed and reflexes and giving him a limited form of pain and cold resistance. Ryan is completely immune to natural winter cold when charged.
Non-mutant abilities: Extreme social networking, one hell of a dancer.
Personality: Ryan is generally easy-going and friendly. He likes to make a scene, aided by the fact that his parents have made sure that he has the funds to indulge this streak. He is witty, charming, and has generally been something of a womanizer, although to his credit, he’s always respectful to said women, and has never gone so far as to actually “use” them. He also has a superhero complex the size of China and a strong sense of duty, and thus is extremely protective of his friends, and just about anyone else around him.
Description: Ryan is lightly built to accommodate flight, but is still somewhat muscular, not scrawny. He stands at 6'2", with long neatly-kept brown hair and blue eyes. His wings have a wingspan of 13', and have snow-white feathers.
Background: Ryan is the oldest son of two little-known (but decently powered) mutants. When he was 13, his wings began to grow in. His parents began to train him in the use of his powers once they fully expressed themselves. Being rather active in mutant rights movements, Ryan saw quite a bit of spotlight along with his family, which he learned to enjoy and acquit himself well in.
He was sent to Xavier's for high school, where he learned to make the most of his powers. Any hopes of him keeping a low profile that his parents might have had were dashed when, during the summer that he turned eighteen, he made his first widely-blogged flight across America, making sure to make some sort of impact at every city he visited (even if it was only with the local ladies).
Ryan stayed on at Xavier's for college, realizing one of his ambitions by joining the ranks of the X-Men. He led the X-Men through many of the year's trials, before moving back to New York to both help at the Xavier Institute with the training of new students, and to complete his SHIELD basic training to be moved on to his training as a SWORD operative. Now he tries to find time to split between his duties as an X-Man, his college courses, and helping to train the next generation of mutants that are arriving at the school.
