Power: Air current creation/control; wind elemental.

Rick has seen his powers expand greatly since he first attended Xavier's for high school. Along with his ability to wrap himself in a cyclone, Rick can project strong air currents outwards. So far, these can take the form of both focused tornadic currents, and straight-line wind blasts. He can also use his powers to fly, and can create a crash shield around his body using wind.

Personality: Friendly enough toward his fellow students, though he also has a moody, brooding streak. He mistrusts most baseline humans, but he's slowly warming up to some of them.

Physical description: Rick is 6', with blond hair and grey eyes. Training at XI, as well as a couple of years or so spent as an X-Man, have made him a bit more muscular on top of his solid, more average build that he had before. His clothing can sometimes have a bit of skater flavor to it, though it's not really intentional on Rick's part.

Background: Born on the eastern side of the Canadian Rockies, Rick took to photography at an early age to capture the beauty of the place he called home. A job his father got in the Alberta Oil Sands changed all that, and though the family was better off, Rick missed the place he had always considered home.

As he grew up and matured, he made two realizations that would come to shape him; that he was gay, and that he was a mutant. His parents, particularly his father, didn't take either of these revelations very well, and though Rick tried to hide who he was at their insistence, the truth eventually came out. Not long after that, Rick moved to Xavier's.

Since then, Rick has been a loyal member of the X-Men, both in high school and college. He currently studies journalism at Xavier's University, and is in a long, on-again-off-again relationship with Marcus Kingston. The fact that Rick had seen that he and Marcus had raised a daughter together in a (now) alternate future hasn't made things any less complicated.

Rick has two other known mutant family members; his sister, Maggie, and his uncle, Noah. He has his suspicions that there may be another mutant in the family tree, but so far, that has not been proven.

(The only big change is that Rick is no longer engaged to Marcus. Also, since this seems a good a place as any to post it, I'll just note here that Brett still died in battle against Apocalypse, and Ethan still went back to live in Hong Kong.)
