Power: Elena constantly absorbs ambient radiation and expels it as either kinetic blasts surrounding her body or focused kinetic rays from her hands. She also has the ability to use the energy to armor herself with a kinetic barrier, but this doesn't bleed off the energy and holding it above her skin for more than a couple of minutes starts burning her as if she had a bad sunburn, progressing to worse burns if she holds the armor for longer than five minutes.
Personality: Elena comes off as a show-off due to her repeated attempts to be clever with bleeding off the energy. She has no particular desire to show off though and gets irritated when people accuse her of doing so. Otherwise, she seems relatively friendly.
Description: Elena dresses to the occasion and usually wears her long straight hair loose. She's of average height and build with the physique of someone who works out casually.
Background: Elena was born and raised in Paris, France. When her powers developed at puberty, she went into a private academy in Europe, training with both her abilities and prepping for college.
She's attended Xavier's University for the last year, getting used to life at a college level and focusing on her studies, but now that the high school students have arrived, she's decided to put herself forward to help out as best she can.
