Name: Kaylee “Outbreak” Williams
Age: 18
Power:
Kaylee’s mutant ability is that her body attracts, draws in, feasts on, then alters micro-organisms not native to her body making mutated versions of the diseases, germs, viruses and sometimes even her own creations. The newly formed microbes show themselves in sort of that symbiotic covering on her body which she can spread out along things or people she touches. She can also make them go airborne from there.
The altered organisms are usually nothing more than normal micro-organisms, diseases or illnesses in overdrive that bring about symptoms a lot faster and more intense than if someone was inflicted normally. However, if the microbes are not attached to her body in some form they die quickly, usually within a few minutes.
Harboring the organisms takes a large amount of energy from Kaylee and she’s prone to sleeping a lot or eating a ridiculous amount food despite her small frame.
Personality: It depends. Normally, she’s outgoing, playful, and a little of a tomboy. She enjoys being out and about and around people, probably to counteract her previous isolation from people. However, when her body’s feeding or she’s covered in mutated organisms, she tends to be quiet, distant, and somewhat irritable.
Description: Kaylee is about 5’8”, 135 pounds, dark brown hair, green eyes. Her style tends to be modern and with the newest lines. When her power’s acting up or feeding, she tends to dress extremely covered up.
Background:
Kaylee was just a typical teenager until her power caused a giant scare to the school one day in the cafeteria. The event left a faculty member sent the hospital after touching Kaylee, trying to calm her down, leaving him with his arm covered in large, hives. She was escorted out and taken the hospital and quarantined. After some tests they determined that nothing was wrong with Kaylee health wise. Her body was covered in micro-organisms like any other person but the sheer amount on her was astounding but none seemed to be having any ill-effects on her.
At the most, she was determined to just be a mutant and was registered. However, that didn’t make them release her any quicker. She was kept there for about month and a half before finally some pressure from her parents and enough information confirmed she wasn’t that much of a hazard. She was given some requirements upon release and when she was brought back, home schooled.
Generally depressed with her isolation, her life didn’t seem too happy at home. Her parents did their best to take care of her and make things comfortable. Her parents became extremely protective and only helped shun other people from her life more than her power did. Her mother, soon noticing the toll this was taking on her child, eventually looked into places that could help and soon came across the Xavier’s Institute where she learned to control her powers and brought herself to living a normal life. After graduation, she looked for additional and productive things to do with her power. She soon found herself in Scotland, working on Muir Island where her power was used as a test subject for trying counteract many illnesses and diseases. After about a year and hearing the opening of Xavier University she quickly applied.
