Age: 16
Power: Cybernetics – Calvin has cybernetic implants enhancing and replacing parts of his nervous system, eyes, and brain, following damage that was done to them. They allow for enhanced sensor functions, enhanced reflexes and preprogrammed or calculated movements, and computer interface via data ports or wireless signals. He has an AI in his cybernetics that helps regulate the interaction between his biological and mechanical parts.
Notable cybernetics: Wireless uplink (upgradeable), integrated cell technology (upgradeable), Holographic projection cell (hand-mounted, up to a cubic foot display size), multi-spectrum sensor suite, visual recording/imaging interface.
Electrical discharge – Calvin’s mutant power is generation and manipulation of electrical currents, which are regulated by his cybernetics to prevent them from doing further damage to his nervous system.
Non-mutant abilities: The ability to make the internet sit up and beg. Amateur hacker, experimental programmer.
Personality: Cal is quiet, with behavior you’d expect from someone recovering from a trauma or recently becoming disabled. The fact that he is still able to function (and function well) is a consolation, but usually means he just keeps everything inside. Nevertheless, he’s more or less just an average guy who’s had some… bad luck, and is trying to cope with it.
Description: 5’8”, average build, with black hair and unnatural green eyes. His eyes can be noticed to be mechanically focusing on things if one looks close enough. He has a cybernetic arm replacing one that was simply too badly damaged to repair even with cybernetics.
Background: Calvin’s mutation surfaced when he was fourteen. He was sent to a lab, and submitted to voluntary experiments on mutation and the function of energy powers. One of the experiments was supposed to unlock Calvin’s underdeveloped power to its ‘full potential.’
Unfortunately, his power at its full potential proved to be destructive to his nervous system, leaving him with severe nerve damage, unable to move or speak coherently. That was when Xavier’s stepped in, their best minds working to undo the damage even as the company that had run the experiments was sued into oblivion. The best mechanical minds worked to outfit Cal with cybernetics, working to make it as bearable for him as they could to adjust to this new existence.
Reboot notes - List of changes:
- Age shifted to accommodate personality shift and return personal abilities to a workable level.
- Treated as new character now.
