[Will Stanton]

"...Janice came by, didn't she," Will frowned.

[Sara Stanton]

"Yeah. So what?"

[Will Stanton]

"I ask her to do one thing, and she does the opposite," Will groused.

[Sara Stanton]

"Well good thing she did, because I'm not angry or jealous, okay? But it did make me realize that if I were it'd only be my own fault."

[Will Stanton]

"Sure," Will said, disbelievingly. "You? Get jealous of things? That doesn't sound like you," he said, a bit more harshly than he intended.

[Sara Stanton]

"What? I'm not allowed to try and be better about these kinds of things?"

[Will Stanton]

"Sara, I know you better than that. I know you're not fully comfortable with what I do. I get that you're trying to help, but..."

[Sara Stanton]

"Well maybe I want to be more comfortable with it." she says quietly but with a look on her face that suggests she'd probably be raising her voice if Robin wasn't in the room.

[Will Stanton]

"Do you want to be more comfortable with it because you want to be more comfortable with it, or do you want to be more comfortable with it because you think you should be more comfortable with it?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Because I want to be. I'm not doing this for you, I want to be able to be part of something that's very important to you and that is important to me. It hurt to hear that you apparently think Janice shouldn't even talk to me about these things."

[Will Stanton]

"You're clearly not comfortable with it--we've tried enough in the lab and whatnot to know that it's just not you. And that's understandable!"

[Sara Stanton]

"Have you ever considered that maybe it's the lab part that makes me uncomfortable because it puts me in the same context as Quentin and Faultline?"

[Will Stanton]

"See, there you go again. Every time I go outside of someone's comfort zone, they look at me like I'm asking them to join the Evil Empire or something."

[Sara Stanton]

"I literally just offered to go outside my comfort zone and you said no, so I don't know what you want from me." she says, standing up.

[Will Stanton]

"I want you to want to. I don't want you to do it because you think I'm suffering or because, oh, poor Will needs a break.

And if you don't want to, I don't want you to do it! At all! Why would I want to force you into doing something?"

[Sara Stanton]

"And which part of 'I want to' didn't you understand?" she asks, turning back around to look at Will.

[Will Stanton]

"The part where it's a complete 180 to what you've said up until now, combined with your usual stubbornness."

[Sara Stanton]

"So we're back to not being allowed to change my mind. Great. I'm going for a walk. Let me know when you've pulled your head from your behind." she angry-whispers.

[Will Stanton]

"Fine. Talk to you later," Will groused.
